Quotes

"Pick up some litter and place it in a proper receptacle and tell no one about your actions. In fact, spend several hours doing nothing but cleaning and clearing out messes that you didn't create. Any act of kindness extended toward yourself, others, or your environment matches you up with the kindness inherent in the universal power of intention. It's an energizer for you, and causes this kind of energy to flow back to your life."

- Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

God hates garbage

Our modern lifestyle has become overwhelming to the natural systems upon which we depend. Particularly damaging to our environment is the garbage we throw out everyday. Ask yourself this: does it make sense for a 200 year old oak tree to be surrounded by Pepsi cans and Doritos bags? In no way are circumstances like these natural. They are choking the planet.

God wants us to clean up garbage

Call it what you want: the source of life, the Great Spirit, Karma, Kismet, Prana, Qi, the power of coincidence, the collective unconscious, dumb luck, or just plain God. Whatever you want to call it, the universe wants us to clean up our garbage. How can I be sure, you ask. Please read on.

If you, or anyone you know is struggling in their lives, by all means suggest to them the standard methods of life improvement (psychological therapy, consulting a medical doctor, etc.) However, you may also suggest that they spend an hour or two picking up garbage. You both may be pleasantly surprised by the tremendous results.

After picking up garbage for an hour or two, you may feel better, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. You may also begin to experience strange but positive coincidences in your life, the more garbage you pick up. Things may start to swing your way for a change. The right person may show up in your life, with the right thing, at the exact right time. Pay attention to these coincidences and follow them. You may be pleasantly surprised!

These coincidences, too eerie and frequent to dismiss as pure chance, indicates that you are indeed following the correct path in life. More on coincidences.

A challenge to philosophy students:

If you have an interesting or funny proof for why God does NOT want us to pick up garbage, please send them to us; we will publish those we like.

Note: You will be wrong, of course. There is no way you can prove that God does not want us to pick up garbage.
